Previously Adopted Horses

Damascus is 10 yr old Hanovarian gelding and ex show horse. He was shown in equitation and jumper classes on the A circuit. He was then used as a lesson horse in a barn until he had intermittant periods of lameness. He has been nerved and can no longer jump due to that. He arrived here lame but has been getting better with shoes removed and being out in pasture. He is personable and needs a home who will love him, light riding only.

Dragon was rescued from a yard in Valley Center where he was not being fed enough. His owner had rescued him from from going to slaughter, most likely from lameness on the track. He is a 9 yr old beautiful black (dark bay) Thoroughbred gelding. After researching his tattoo, it was found that he is Rhetoric Express and has won over $181,000 on the track! His fetlock appears to have fused and he is now sound. He loves people and is very polite, calm, willing under saddle and personable. Light riding only for this special and handsome boy.

Rockem Sockem Andi is a 5 yr old bay qh mare who has been started under saddle with no problem. Handled here since a yearling, she has a pet-like personality and loves people. She is ready for a forever home and someone to give her attention. Very willing to please, only about 10 rides on her so far, but she goes easily for her rider.

Princess is a beautiful 4 yr old paint mare who was rescued from being put down as a yearling due to being unable to be caught and handled easily by her owner. She has been started under saddle with no problems.

Sanctuary Horses
